MACON, MO. -- Police are on the lookout for three suspects who tried to break into a church Thursday night.
The incident occurred around 6:20 p.m. at Church of the Open Door on Highway 63 about a mile south of Macon.
The Macon County Sheriff's Office told our sister station KTVO it is looking for a female and two male suspects.
The female, who was armed with a rifle and a tire tool, fired the weapon at the person who interrupted the burglary. That person was not hurt.
The suspects then fled the scene in a white, 2000 Chevy pickup with a dark-colored bed.
They were last seen headed north on Highway 63.
The female is in her early 30s with long, blond hair. She has a thin build.
The second suspect is a white male, 5’ 6” tall, weighing approximately 280 pounds, with dark, shoulder-length hair and a scraggly beard. He was wearing a dark-colored T-shirt and blue jeans.
The third suspect is a white male, 5’ 3” tall, in his early 20s with short, blond hair, a thin build and a bad case of acne. He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark-colored pants.
