QUINCY, ILL. -- A Quincy man is in jail Tuesday morning and faces several charges including armed violence and aggravated assault.

Preston Steinhour was arrested in the basement of his home with a knife.

Police had to use a Taser to subdue him.

Quincy police says Steinhour's wife called 9-1-1 Monday night saying her husband was out of control, forced her from the house, but two children were in the house with him.

Police quickly went into the house and got the children before arresting Steinhour.
