MARION COUNTY, MO. -- A Marion County home is a total loss after an afternoon fire Wednesday.

Firefighters remain on site at the home, at 2750 Hwy P, located near the Marion and Lewis County line. The house went up in flames around noon Wednesday.

Multiple fire departments from Lewis, Marion and Shelby Counties arrived on scene to battle the blaze.

A deputy with the Marion County Sheriff's Dept. says the owner of the home, Aaron Johnson, was not home at the time of the fire.

Ewing Fire Chief Kent Richmond says he does not suspect foul play at this time.
