LEWIS COUNTY, MO. -- Some of the tristate area's youth gathered today at the Ten Rivers Pheasant Forever Youth Hunt.

For the last ten years, Rob Power and Ten Rivers Pheasant Forever have given the youth a chance to learn more about the outdoors.

Nathan Stevens was one of the hunters this year. Stevens has cerebral palsy and has had surgeries leaving him bed ridden for several months. His grandfather attended the hunt along with him.

Stevens shot two pheasants in the morning hunt.

Power says these kids get more out of this experience than just how to shoot a shotgun.

Nineteen kids participated in this years hunt.

The hunt is paid for by a fundraiser held every February.
