Man originally wanted on burglary charges flips car and escapes

Joseph Wyatt is wanted for avoiding parole on a previous charge and fleeing the scene of an accident.

Joseph Wyatt, 24, is wanted by the Callaway County Sheriff's Office.

Wyatt avoided his parole and is wanted on a previous charge of burglary.

According to KRCG reporter Jessica Troike, he may be in the Auxvasse or Mexico area.

Troike reports that Wyatt is believed to have been the passenger in a vehicle that crashed on US Highway 54 near North Callaway High School Thursday morning at approximately 12:30 a.m. Wyatt fled the scene before deputies and troopers arrived. Wyatt later posted on his facebook page that he was in a car wreck in which the vehicle rolled three times and he ran.

It is also reported that Wyatt also posted pictured of himself holding a pistol and may be armed.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Wyatt is asked to contact the Callaway County Sheriff's Office or your local law enforcement agency. Anonymous tips can be made through Crime Stoppers or the Callaway County Sheriff's Office Website www.callawaysherriff.org.
