MACOMB, ILL. -- Faculty members at Spoon River College have filed a ten-day intent to strike notice with the school.

The 34 member Faculty Association has been working without a contract since August. Both sides say money is the key issue.

Both the union and the college says they want to avoid a walk-out.

Two more bargaining sessions are planed later this month. On Tuesday, January 22nd, there will be a mediated negotiation session between the college and the SRCFA. On January 25th, members of the SRCFA will meet.

Spoon river college has campuses in Canton, Macomb, Rushville, and Havana.

The possible faculty strike would be the first in Spoon River's 50-year history. Click here to read more.
