LaPlata teen charged with selling pot to 14-year-olds

LAPLATA, MO. -- Ambrose "Jack" Booth, 19, of LaPlata is accused of selling marijuana to two young people, each fourteen years of age.

An investigation into possible drug activity resulted in the arrest and felony charges.

Booth is charged with two counts of distributing a controlled substance to a minor, and one count of distributing marijuana and he is also charged with two misdemeanors. He's accused of selling the pot to an additional person who was 17-years-old.

While at Booth's residence, LaPlata police and Macon County deputies found several drug paraphernalia items along with a small amount of pot and a baggie containing a white powdery substance.

Booth is being held in the Macon County Jail under $46,000 cash-only bond.

He is scheduled for his initial arraignment in Macon County Associate Circuit Court on Thursday.
