MARION COUNTY, MO. -- Firefighters in northern Marion County contained a mobile home fire.

The fire, at 3881 Highway P, in Maywood, ignited around 5 p.m. Sunday. Firefighters on scene say a trash burn got out of control and spread to a nearby trailer.

The trailer was not occupied at the time. Neighbors say the homeowners, John and Ethel O'Brien, lived in the mobile home next door. Witnesses could see black smoke and flames coming from the trailer. This is the second trailer the O'Brien family has lost to a fire.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Firefighters from Ewing R-4, Lewistown and Philadelphia assisted in the fire.
