DYERSVILLE, IOWA (AP) -- A lawsuit filed by the owners of the "Field of Dreams" movie site in eastern Iowa against a group of local residents will go to trial next year.

The Dubuque Telegraph Herald reports that a jury trial in the lawsuit has been set for Feb. 4, 2014.

Go the Distance Baseball LLC is suing the Residential and Agricultural Advisory Committee, a group of area residents opposing a sports complex planned for the site in Dyersville.

Go the Distance filed a petition in October saying the committee interfered with contracts related to the site's sale.

The newspaper says two members of the group are also being sued for libel for their alleged involvement in the distribution of fliers critical of the development.
