Adams County Coroner Jim Keller reported that Joan Meredith died on Sunday from injuries related to the accident.

ORIGINAL STORY: May 31 at 12:18 p.m.

A woman was struck by a car near 8507 Hwy. 24 in West Quincy, Missouri Thursday.

Just before noon the Marion County Sheriff, several Missouri state troopers and the Adams County EMS responded to the scene.

The Marion County Sheriff's office says 72-year-old Joan Meredith was trying to cross Highway 24 and failed to yield to traffic when she was struck by a car.

She was taken to Blessing Hospital with serious injuries.
