NORTHEAST MISSOURI -- AT&T announced that it expanded 3G wireless coverage to many smaller communities in Northeast Missouri.

The company announced Friday that it expanded the enhanced service to the communities of Elsberry, Winfield, Old Monroe, Bowling Green, Louisiana, Eolia, Clarksville, Vandalia, Monroe City, Mark Twain Landing, Perry, New London and Palmyra. Many of those communities were wireless Internet and cellular dead zones.

AT&T says it has invested more than $2.3 billion in its wireline and wireless networks in Missouri from 2008 through 2011.
