Asbestos removal needed before demolition.

HANNIBAL, MO. -- Another condemned Hannibal building will face the the wrecking ball soon.

This property at 1419 and 1421 Market Street was put on the "soon to be demolished" list earlier this month.

This comes after the city spoke with the property owner regarding concerns about the upkeep and maintenance on the building.

Because there is some asbestos inside, a licensed contractor will have to remove that before demolition begins.

A licensed demolition contractor will do the job since it's a larger building.

A definite timetable hasn't been set yet for the project.
