QUINCY, ILL. -- It's back to school time for students all over the Tri-States ... including college students.

Quincy University will welcome its third largest incoming freshman class in 15 years as 268 students move-in and attend orientation.

Friday, freshmen from all over moved in to Helein and Garner Halls on campus.

Current QU students were on hand to help out and get freshmen checked in.

Welcome weekend is a good time for freshmen and their parents to get acquainted to their new home-away-from-home.

"I'm excited to get up here and experience the college life, everyone comes back and talks about how much of a good time it is, and I'm really looking forward to getting up here and I'm going to be playing baseball in the spring and that's going to take up a lot of time. But it should be a lot of fun, I'm looking forward to it," QU Freshman Justin Groennert said.

University officials say the large freshman class reflects continued progress on campus including construction on the Connie Niemann Center for Music and upgrades to dorms and other facilities on campus.

The rest of the campus moves in Sunday.

There are plenty events going on this weekend on QU's campus. Here are some important schedules for students:

Freshman on campus students
Freshman off campus students
Transfer on campus students
Transfer off campus and non-traditional students
