Sheriff's deputies in Lee County found an unresponsive woman at the home of Keokuk teacher Gina Sisk, who is the subject of lawsuits that accuse her of having sexual relationships with students.

In a new development, the Lee County Sheriff's Office confirms that the victim of an assault on Tuesday, March 12 was 45-year-old Gina Sisk.

Deputies responded to a 911 call about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at the 2544 Hilton Road.

“The victim had been assaulted and was transported to Keokuk Area Hospital and was treated and later released,” according to a press release from the Sheriff's Office.

Neighbors originally told KHQA they believed Sisk was the victim and said her partner, who she lives with, was the one who found her on Tuesday.

Evidence has been submitted to the DCI Laboratory for analysis and investigators are pursuing many leads. No arrests have been made.

If you have any information relating to this crime, please contact the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 319-372-1152.

Sisk is the subject of three lawsuits filed by two students at separate Iowa schools.

The lawsuits say that Sisk carried out inappropriate relationships with the students identified as Jane Doe and Jane Doe II.

A 20-year-old former Keokuk High School student is suing the district and Sisk claiming she was sexually abused for about two years beginning in 2009. Sisk was also a track coach.

The lawsuit also names the school district and former Keokuk High School Principal Michelle Lukavsky as defendants.

A New London School District student also has two pending lawsuits in Henry County Iowa.

The eight-count lawsuit accuses Sisk of assault and battery, sexual abuse and other charges.

Sisk was placed on administrative leave from the district after the initial lawsuit was filed.

A message left Thursday with Sisk's Des Moines, Iowa-based attorney Alfredo Parrish has not been returned.
