Ursa native Brent Burke has been found guilty of the murder of his estranged wife Tracy and her former mother-in-law.

According to WLKY News in Louisville, Kentucky, Brent Burke has been sentenced to life without the posibility of parole by the military court that found him guilty of the 2007 murders.

A military panel of seven officers returned the verdict Tuesday after deliberating for nearly three hours. The deliberations began about 8:30 a.m.

According to the Elizabethtown News Enterprise, the defense's case and closing arguments were presented Monday.

The trial continued this weekend as Burke's own son and stepson testified against him. However last week forensic experts testified they could find no DNA evidence linking the Fort Campbell soldier to the scene of the shooting.
