CANTON, MO. -- The Tristate Warrior Outreach reached out to help a local veteran after he recently suffered a stroke. James Detlaff is 80-years-old, a Navy Veteran, and after suffering a stroke this fall, is now bound to a wheelchair.

Members of the Tristate warrior Outreach helped build a wheelchair ramp at Detlaff's home in Canton. AM Vets donated money for building supplies for the ramp.

Detlaff is currently hospitalized in Joliet, Illinois, but returns home December, 30th.

The Tristate warrior outreach was created in January with a goal to help veteran's with unmet living needs.
