McDonough County Health Dept. warns of silent killer

Photo

A silent killer can be lurking in your home. Radon can't be seen, tasted or smelled. Exposure to radon can increase your risk of lung cancer. It's found in all homes, whether they're new or old.

That's why the McDonough County Health Department wants residents to test their homes. Sunday kicks off Radon Action Week. Radon kits are the best way to test your home.

They'll be available for $5 in McDonough County.

For more information, call your local health department.
