14 teams squared off for the best chili in town

QUINCY, IL -- Turkey on Thursday, shopping till you drop on Friday, what else could heat up this cool weekend and make it great?

The 2nd Annual Oakley Lindsey Center Chili Cook Off.

There was plenty of music, beer, food and fun as 14 teams squared off for the best chili in Quincy.

They were judged, not by food connoisseurs, but by the public who sampled all the chili their belly's could handle.

People had choices...from mild to very hot...all contestants had to do was brew up five gallons or more of their very best chili, put together a team, and have theme.. O-L-C provided the rest.

There was also a 50/50 raffle, WII Bowling, and a Nascar Challenge simulated racing.

First Place went to The Riverhouse.

They donated their $200 winnings to the Quincy Gems.

The Dock took 2nd place and $100, and The Pirates of Mississippi won best theme, donating their $75 winnings to Toys for Tots.
