Ft. Madison IA bowling alley destroyed by fire

FT. MADISON, IA -- Firefighters from several departments responded early this morning to the Americana Bowling alley in Ft. Madison, Iowa.

What they found was the building on fire and smoke billowing from the roof.

The facility is located on Avenue L, which is the main thourghfare through the community. Avenue L is also U.S. 61 which runs through the Pen City.

The initial call came in between 3:30 am and 4:00 am.

A volunteer firefighter told KHQA that the owner has recently rennovated the structure.
