Police reports seeing the lowest number in decades

(AP) -- Here's some good news from our state capital. The number of Homicides dropped there.

Springfield police reported 4 homicides in 2008, the lowest number in decades. There were 7 murders reported in 2007.

The lowest number in recent years was 1989, when three were only reported.
