Quincy University’s spring 2009 Town and Gown Reading and Lecture Series will begin Tuesday, Jan. 20, with “Agape: The Moral Imperative in the New Testament,”  presented by Dr. Edward Maniscalco, assistant professor of theology at Quincy University.  This event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Room (20^th & Oak).  Dr. Maniscalco’s discussion will focus on two texts: 1 Corinthians 13 and John 21.  The event is free, and the public is invited to attend.

The Town and Gown series is sponsored by the Quincy University English department, the English Club, and Sigma Tau Delta (the national English Honor Society).  All events are open to the public and free of charge. For more information, contact the Quincy University office of public relations at 217-228-5275.
