Just like you protect yourself, your pets and car during cold weather don't forget about your gadgets.

Extreme cold temperatures can damage  and even destroy them. Most electronics have been designed to work within a safe temperature range between 50 to 95 degrees.

Frank Russo from The Electronic Warehouse in Quincy says often times items like your cell phone, ipod, speakers, lap tops and digital camera's are left in your car during extreme cold weather. He says that while the cold can be damaging its what you do when you bring them inside that can be most damaging.

Allow at least three to four hours for your gadgets to warm up to room temperature before turning them on if not you could destroy them. Any electronic gadget left in the cold will limit the life of  it and the battery.

He also says that they make multi weather speakers that can with stand the severe cold weather if left in your car or outside.
