WASHINGTON (AP) -- After a few tries, President Barack Obama finally found some fellow Chicago White Sox fans during the Commander In Chief Ball.
During Tuesday night's ball for military members and their families, Obama spoke via video satellite with Illinois Army National Guard members deployed to Afghanistan.
Obama, a die-hard Sox fan, joked with the Chicago natives about their baseball allegiances. While some declared themselves Cubs fans, Sox fans eventually won.
Obama told the servicemembers that all Americans, regardless of their party affiliation, support their service.
He then saluted the video screen.
He and first lady Michelle Obama then danced with two enlisted members, Marine Sgt. Elidio Guillen and Army Sgt. Margaret Herrera.
