Local fan helps secure debut of "The Ultimate Gift''
Actor James Garner is among the stars of a new film premiering in Quincy for a special invited audience.

QUINCY IL -- About 200 folks in Quincy will got a sneak peak of the film "The Ultimate Gift" Thursday night. The Grimm-Schlipman Financial Group hosted the movie preview for its clients at the Showplace Six theater.
The movie is based on the best-selling book of the same title by Jim Stovall. Mark Schlipman was inspired by the book and wanted to share its message with his clients.
"The whole theme of the movie is about wealth and money and how all of that fits into your life. I was touched by it and wanted to do something special with it for our clients. So I think it fits in well with what we do as a financial group," Schlipman said.
The movie stars James Garner, Brian Dennehy, Lee Meriwether and others. Tonight's showing was the film's first in the country. It will officially open at the box offices this later spring.
