Former bank official admits embezzling money

MONTICELLO, MO -- The former senior vice president of a Tri-State bank has pleaded guilty to taking money from the bank.

Leona Hinton embezzled almost $44,000 from the Bank of Monticello over about ten years.

She's scheduled for sentencing in April.

She could go to prison for up to 30 years and could have to pay a $1 million fine.
