ILLINOIS -- We've been enjoying some relief at the pump, but that may soon go away.
The Illinois House of Representatives is considering a hike in the state's motor fuel tax.
According to the House's website, the bill was introduced in December and as of today is in the Revenue and Finance committee.
If this were to pass, you can expect to pay eight more cents a gallon in Illinois beginning July 1.
The money raised would go into the GROW Illinois fund and would only be used for debt services and capital improvements.
