Cause was accidental

HANNIBAL, MO. -- A fire destroyed the home of a Hannibal family early this morning.

Firefighters saw flames shooting from the house at 2615 Marsh Street just before 1:40 a.m. Friday.

Seven members of the Watts family lived in the home.

One family member told us she left the house to pick up her husband from work; the house was on fire when she returned.

She woke up everyone inside and got them out of the house as the fire department arrived.

Investigators say the cause of the fire was accidental.
