(AP) -- COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - Officials say winds whipping up to 60 mph toppled three semitrailers along a 6-mile stretch of Interstate 80 in western Iowa.
The winds knocked over the trucks Monday afternoon near Shelby. Eastbound traffic was shut down while the trucks were cleared.
There were no immediate reports of serious injuries.
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for a good portion of the state into early Tuesday. Forecasters say winds gusted to near 60 mph in a 50-mile-wide area from near Denison in western Iowa to Northwood in north central Iowa near the Minnesota border.
The weather service says winds had diminished Tuesday morning, while temperatures ranged from the 30s in northwest Iowa to the 50s in the southeast. That's about 30 degree above the normal for mid-February.
