Macomb still working to clean up debris
MACOMB, IL -- The city of Macomb is still feeling the effects of the ice storm that struck this past December.
Public Works has been working for the past 7 weeks on clean up efforts, but the department only has 15 workers and 6 trucks.
Snow storms in the area have also made it difficult to clean the town faster.
The WIU campus was cleaned first, and now the rest of the town is being worked on with some help from Bushnell.
Public Works Director Walter Burnett says there has been progress, but there is still a long way to go.
