Dentist check area kids teeth at day long clinic

Photo

QUINCY, IL - More than 200 area kids left school on Friday with brighter smiles.

That's because 15 dentists from around the area volunteered their time to check the kids teeth and do some simple dental work.

This is the third year for the Give Kids a Smile event.

The goal is to encourage young children to take good care of their teeth.

The event also helps kids get over their fear of going to the dentist.

The students came from schools in seven Illinois counties including Adams, Brown and Schuyler.
