Hopes to address constituents concerns better

Hannibal, MO- U.S. Representative Blaine Luetkemeyer says the government should be closer to the people, so he's bringing it to as many people as he can.

That's why he opened his office in Hannibal Wednesday.  His office is located at 201 N. 3rd street, right across from the Hannibal Courier Post.  Luetkemeyer says an office in Hannibal will help address residents needs better.

We also talked to the congressman about his reaction to the stimulus bill that just passed.  Luetkemeyer voted against the bill.

"I don't think it will really stimulate the economy the way people are hoping it will. I think in the long run, we've got a stimulus where we're going to wind up spending more money, and not doing the job," said Luetkemeyer.

His office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5:30pm.
