Hannibal Inn hosts 31st Tri-State Bluegrass Festival
Hannibal, MO- Here's something you can stomp your feet to.
People were dancing and clapping at the 31st annual Tri-State Bluegrass Festival this weekend. At least 500 people came from all over the Tri-States and the midwest to jam with fellow bluegrassers or just listen.
We met one couple who loves to jam together. North and Patricia Clemons have been married for 52 years. North's been playing his banjo for 45 years, and Patricia has been playing the bass for about 25 years.
Together, they make sweet bluegrass music.
"It's all the pleasant. You get to visit, play music and see all your friends. It's great," said North Clemons.
"It's like a big convention. You see some of these people off and on during the summer at bluegrass festivals, and then they gather here for this, and we get together and enjoy playing with each other," Patricia Clemons said.
Money raised from this event goes to the Tri-State Bluegrass Association. The funds help keep the association running.
If you missed it this weekend, get ready for November. The Tri-State Bluegrass Association brings its show to Quincy.
