Thursday marks debut of carrier's service to KC and Chicago

QUINCY IL -- The city of Quincy has high hopes for Mesa Airways.  That's the carrier that's about to start daily air service to Kansas City and Chicago.  Mayor Spring is looking forward to seeing the first Mesa planes fly in and out of Baldwin Field this Thursday.

"We're excited about this.  Mesa comes to us with a great reputation.  They service 48 cities, they have 199 aircraft. So it'll be a great day Thursday for us," said Mayor Spring.

Mesa Airlines is offering low introductory fares for its first month of operation.  You can get a one-way flight for $49.
