F&M Bank donates building
When a child gets sick, the family's life gets turned upside down.
But the Blue Ryno Foundation hopes to help change that.
It's an organization formed by former professional baseball player Ryan Klesko.
Blue Ryno steps in where other charities can't.
For example, it can help families find a place to stay while their child is in the hospital, or help pay for food or gas, or even insurance copays.
And now the Blue Ryno Foundation has a new home in Hannibal.
There was a ribbon cutting and welcoming ceremony this morning in the former MCM Bank Building on Broadway.
MCM merged with F&M Bank, and F&M no longer need this building, so it donated it to the Blue Ryno Foundation.
Blue Ryno is actually moving its headquarters from San Diego, California to Hannibal.
Renovation work should start soon.
The building is the tallest building in Hannibal, and Blue Ryno only plans to use the first couple of floors.
"We plan on renovating the top floors into apartments or condos overlooking the river and new ballpark. The movie theater that's being built is close. We've see a lot of opportunity here in Hannibal," says Klesko.
