Exhibit on display at Gardner Museum
Quincy, IL-- A Quincy based company who's innovative technology is known across the world celebrates a milestone.The Gardner-Denver company turns 150-years-old. To celebrate, the Gardner Museum of Architecture and Design opened an exhibit to the public March 14. The exhibit is called 150 years of Innovation. It celebrates the history of the company since its start in 1859 up to modern day.
The homes of the Gardner family are also on display, and shows their contributions to local architecture through the generations. The exhibit also showcases the change of products through the years.
KHQA caught up with a member of the Gardner family. He told us seeing the display brings back fond memories.
"I haven't been in this museum for about a year, but this is just wonderful, this exhibit," said Franklin Brenner, the great great grandson of Robert Gardner
The exhibit is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 1 to 4pm.
