Anonymous donor sets up boyhood home and museum with $700 G gift

HANNIBAL, MO -- The Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum appears to be set for the future.

An anonymous donor gave $700,000 to establish an endowment.  That donation completes a $1 million  goal set by the museum.  Executive Director Regina Faden says the endowment will help cover operating expenses as well as salaries for employees.

The Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum is about to begin a $5 million capital campaign. That money will go towards renovating other attractions like the Becky Thatcher house, Grant's Drug Store and the Clemens Justice of the Peace office.
