Strut their stuff in downtown Quincy

Quincy, IL--  The threatening clouds didn't spoil these dogs' fun.

Pooches of all kinds strutted their stuff around the Quincy Business District for Mardi Pals in the District.  The event started with the Barkus parade downtown, where dozens of dogs were decked out in cute costumes.

There were weiner dog races and vendors with pet friendly items.  The event raises money for Paw Pal's services.  Paw Pal is a rescue group that focuses on helping and educating low-income pet owners.  Many owners came out to get out with their four legged friends, but also to support a good cause.

"We came to help support Jane. Jane does a lot for dogs and the cats in the community so I came out, we came out to support her," said parade goer Robert McCarthy.
