Full-service facility to open by next January

Quincy will have a new Holiday Inn by January 2008 or before.

Steve Brink, the owner of Gem City Ford, along with family and friends cut the ribbon on the project Friday.

When it is completed this Holiday Inn, located at 48th and Oak, will be a full-service hotel.

He also says that the license on the old Holiday Inn downtown will expire when this new building opens.

It will have 100 rooms, a banquet hall, pool and a restaurant.

Jerry Moss Builders is building the new Holiday Inn. It will cost between $8-10 million to build it.

Brink expects to employ between 70 to 80 people.
