QUINCY, ILL. -- The following information was received from Quincy Gems Baseball:

The 2009 Quincy Gems are seeking individuals and families to host the incoming 2009 Gems players. 

This is the 13th year for the Quincy Gems to take the field at QU Stadium, provide family-affordable entertainment, and showcase college baseball players fo the scouts for the Big Leagues.

One main component of the success of the Quincy Gems is the Host Families.

These dedicated people provide a summer home and a "sense of family" for the players.

The Host Families, in return, receive a summer of fun, baseball, and the reward of an honorary son.

Past season Host Families have found it a rewarding experience, dirty socks and all!
