DES MOINES, IOWA (AP) -- Key Iowa lawmakers will meet next week to begin shaping the agenda for a 2010 legislative session that could include expansion of health care, government restructuring and a renewed effort to rewrite the income tax system.

Senate Majority Leader Michael Gronstal says there's broad agreement among Republicans and Democrats to further expand health care coverage, following action in the last session to cover more children.

Gronstal says the sluggish economy will all but force lawmakers to consider government changes that will reduce costs.

And although an effort to change the income tax system failed last session, Gronstal says Democrats could bring up the issue again.

Next year's session begins Jan. 11.
