Boomtown USA author to address growth opportunities, connecting issues for small towns
The 7th Tri-State Development Summit will be held next Wednesday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Culver-Stockton College.
The keynote speaker is Jack Schultz, author of Boomtown USA. His message will promote how to achieve big success in small towns.
The summit began to bring together Tri-State area leaders to address issues affecting the entire region.
Summit Coordinator Shelby Crowsaidt he communities realized everyone was facing the same issues regardless of what side of the river they were on.
"Ten years ago the leaders of Quincy, Keokuk, and Hannibal all gathered to talk about how the flood of '93 devastated the entire region and how we can all work together as a region to face common issues," Crow said.
The public is invited to the summit, but registration is required.
