Hard Rock Geode Dig scheduled in Hamilton

HAMILTON, ILL. -- The Worthern Earth Searchers of Hancock County will present a Hard Rock Geode Dig during this year's Hamilton Homecoming Days on June 26, 27 and 28.

The event, originally scheduled for the Montebello Access, has been moved to the Chaney Creek Access on north highway 96 just before Great Lakes Boat Company.

Guided hunts will be held each day with two each on Friday and Saturday, and one on Sunday.

The event also will include swap and vendor areas, display, geode cracking and identification and speakers.

Breakfast and lunch will be available on site.
