HAMILTON, ILL. -- During this year's Hamilton Homecoming Days, Dadant and Son's, Inc. and the Hamilton Community Development Coalition will be co-sponsoring a Made with Honey Contest on Saturday, June 27th.
Categories for the contest include Class 1: cookies, Class 2: candy, Class 3: any other desert-type item, and Class 4: any other item made with honey.
The contest is open to everyone.
The youth category will be any person below the age of 18 as of the day of the contest with the adult category any person age 18 or older as of the day of the contest.
Ribbons will be presented to the 1st through 3rd place entry in each class and age category plus one grand prize winner.
Items must be delivered to the Gordon's Grove Gazebo the day of the contest between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m.
No late entries will be allowed.
Honey must be an ingredient of each entry.
Each entry must be on a paper plate and inserted into a clear zip-type bag (cookies-3, candy-3).
Recipes should be attached to each entry, but do not include a personal name.
Entries will be given a number at the time of the delivery and judges will not know the name of personal entries.
There is no limit on who can enter or the number of entries made and all decisions of the judges are final.
