Hannibal, MO

Team KHQA took to the mud pitts to help kick off the 30th anniversary of the Mud Volleyball tournament at National Tom Sawyer Days in Hannibal Thursday night.

KHQA's first opponent were the fine folks at US Cable.

Team KHQA beat US Cable two games to move on to the finals, despite the fact that the players of US Cable made Chad Douglas masks to try and pysche our team out.

In the finals, our opponent was Diggin for Dirt, the team from the Quincy Herald Whig.

KHQA beat the first game, Diggin for Dirt won the second, and the daylight was running out, so the third game turned to rally scoring, and the Herald Whig team took the third game to make them win the tournament.

It was a great time, and we're so happy the Hannibal Y Mens Club asked us to be part of the five team media tournament.

The other teams that played were Y101/KICK FM and StarRadio.

Team KHQA consisted of Chad Douglas, Rajah Maples, Sarah Deien, Joe Murano, Justen Arnold, Jared Wells, and Jayne Pieper.
