Still in design stage

(Macomb, Ill.)  It seems construction on the Wigwam Bridge in Macomb is still several years away.

Public Works Director Walter Burnett told KHQA design on the bridge is going well, but the design phase is only about 85% complete.

And the city is still looking for funding.

The price of that project right now is more than $2 million.

Burnett told KHQA the city is actively seeking additional funding and hopes to get some state and federal funds to ease the burden on local resources.

Construction is currently scheduled for sometime in 2014
