Quincy police make felony drug arrest

QUINCY, IL -- A 21 year old man from Chicago is facing felony drug charges today in Quincy.

The Quincy Police Department says David Hayes was arrested early Tuesday morning near 24th and Wisman Lane following a traffic stop and a search of the car he was in.

The K-9 officer was called to the scene and the dog found what police are calling a substantial amount of crack cocaine.

Hayes is charged with manufacture - delivery of a controlled substance between 15 and 100 grams.

He's currently in the Adams County Jail.
