All good things must come to an end right?
But a lot of people didn't think the much hyped Cash for Clunkers program would end so soon.
It seems the program was so successful, the government isn't sure how much, if any, money is left.
You'll remember the program paid up to $4500 toward the purchase of a new, fuel efficient car.
On Wednesday, we talked to a participating dealership in Quincy, Dene Lambkin Honda and Hyundai.
KHQA stopped back in there today to get some thoughts on the program ending.
Dave Johnson, one of the owners of the dealership says the program had an great response at his dealership.
In four days, 30 new cars rolled off the lot.
We asked how disappointed he was the program has stopped.
"I'm not disappointed because it still created a lot of traffic and generated a lot of sales for us, and really stimulated the economy. It was good for the area," says Johnson.
Some possible good news though, the House of Representatives has rushed in $2 billion in additional funding.
The Senate will take up additional funding next week, so the program could be back on soon.
