Water line break forces closure of WIU library in Macomb

The following is a news release from Western Illinois University in Macomb;

Water Line Break in Malpass Library; Library Closed

MACOMB, IL – A water line on the fourth floor of the Western Illinois University Leslie F. Malpass Library broke at approximately 9:45 a.m. today (Aug. 5). The west portion of the building, from the fourth floor to the basement level, is affected. The library is closed until further notice. Malpass Library employees should report to work Thursday, Aug. 6, unless otherwise notified.

Physical Plant personnel are in building conducting repairs and clean-up. A damage estimate is unknown at this time.
