After falling into disrepair and being closed since 2004, the M-W Boudreaux Visitors Center at Mark Twain Lake is being rebuilt.
The U-S Army Corps of Enginners says work on the visitors center will begin this month.
The contract to rebuild the center, which is just south of the Clarence Cannon Damon Route J, is for about four and a half million dollars. Economic stimulus money is being used to fund the construction project.
The new facility should be open to the public by May 2010.
