QUINCY, IL -- You may not see men or women pushing around shopping carts on Quincy's streets as you do in bigger cities.
But that doesn't mean homelessness isn't a problem here.
That's word from Police Chief Rob Copley.
KHQA's Rajah Maples spoke with him a neighborhood meeting on the city's north side Thursday night.
Copley said, "We have a homeless population that moves from family to family and shelter to shelter. Many of the shelters are bursting at the seams."
Copley told me he's attended meetings with several social agencies in the area and knows that the need is great right now--even if it's not evident simply by walking or driving down a street.
